Chennai: The cybercrime wing of south Chennai police arrested four members of TVK for uploading defamatory memes and derogatory comments on social media against a judge of the Madurai Bench of Madras high court.

Police said the accused circulated abusive and defamatory content online following Justice N Senthilkumar’s remarks on TVK leader and actor Vijay during a hearing on the political rally organised by Vijay in Karur. Police arrested Kannan (25), a driver from Pudukottai; David (25), a sales executive from Bargur in Krishnagiri; Sasikumar (48), a time office worker from Hasthinapuram; and Antony Sagaya Michael Raj (37), a resident of Vembar in Tuticorin. Kannan, David, and Sasikumar were arrested on Sunday, while Michael Raj was taken into custody on Monday. All four were remanded in judicial custody.”
