In the EWS matter, when the matter came up today, i argued that the AG of the state had said that the central Govt will have to clarify regarding the application of the certificate to other state. Then i argued that State of Telengana had extended EWS reservation in that state and hence there should be clarification that this certificate can be used in those states. ASG also submitted that it is not restricting the application of this certificate to other states. After hearing all, the court disposed off by recording the above submissions and further claried that by 9.7.20 circular old position is restored and so far as the applicability to other states it is for the respective state to consider. Further the court had also left open to challenge the present circular dt 9.7.2020 . With these observations Writ petitions stand disposed off. .
