- DVAC files a petition before the Principal Sessions Court in Chennai expressing its intention to reinvestigate the ₹27.90 crore bribery case against AIADMK former Minister R. Vaithilingam who had resigned his MLA post and joined DMK in January 2026. The DVAC had initially filed a closure report in the case in the last week of February 2026 but had now changed its stand after a change in the regime and after the filing of protest petitions by the ED and Arappor Iyakkam @THChennai Backgrounder 👇
