Hon’ble Former Justice Thiru David Annoussamy
(Born: 21 October 1927)

Hon’ble Thiru David Annoussamy was a distinguished jurist, former judge and eminent legal scholar from Puducherry.

Born during the French colonial period, he received his early education in the French language in Puducherry.

After completing his legal studies, he proceeded to France and enrolled at the University of Montpellier, where he earned his Doctorate in Law in 1955. Following this, he undertook advanced legal research for three months in London and another three months in Geneva. Alongside his legal research, he also pursued studies in French literature, reflecting his deep academic interests beyond law.

Upon returning to Puducherry, Thiru David Annoussamy was entrusted with several significant responsibilities by the Government of India.
