The Supreme Court today sought a report from all the High Courts on the status of judicial vacancies. This, after Attorney General for India KK Venugopal told the Court that the government alone was not responsible for the delay in appointments. The AG added that the Supreme Court Collegium, as well as the Collegia of the High Courts, were also responsible for the inordinate delay.
