Full order THE HONOURABLE MR.JUSTICE S.VAIDYANATHAN W.P.No.13888 of 2021 The Management, Tamilnadu State Transport Corporation (Villupuram) Limited, –It has been insisted by the learned counsel appearing for the 1st Respondent/employee that, at least 25% of the backwages may be paid, as the employee remains without employment from December 2018. As, buses did not ply from March 2020 due to Covid-19 pandemic, the Petitioner/Transport Corporation need not pay backwages to the 1st Respondent/employee from the date of his dismissal till 15.08.2021 and that, the 1st Respondent/employee shall be reinstated in service from 16.08.2021. However, for the period from 17.12.2018, till 15.12.2021, the Petitioner/Transport Corporation shall pay the EPF contribution due to the 1st Respondent/employee, in order to enable him to get better terminal benefits from the time of retirement, if he is not going to face yet another charge. The Provident Fund of the 1st Respondent/employee and the employer shall be paid by the employer i.e. the Petitioner/Transport Corporation without interest, within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The Writ Petition is ordered accordingly. No costs. Consequently
