[8/1, 20:55] RUPERT Mhc Advt: People laugh calling Madurai Bench of Madras High Court ? Madurai Bench of Madras High Court is also a Principal Bench. In 2004 the Full Court should have named it as Madras High Court at Madurai. How there can be two Principal Bench for a State High Court ? Its the Full Court that made it as Madurai Bench is referred as Principal Bench. What about the Madurai Bar? it calls it as Madurai High Court ! Their dockets are also printed in same way. Even today they call it Madurai High Court! Even the public at large call it as Madurai High Court. The Full Court should not have made it as such. When any one from the Bar call or refer it as Madurai High Court in FB I question them where is State of Madurai in India!
