[1/29, 16:10] Sekarreporter1: The transfer of Writ petitioner Mr Natarajan working as Chief Engineer at the office of Commissioner of Municipal Administration to the post of Chief engineer Chennai Corporation to accommodate one Mr Pugalenthi who in turn was transferred from Chennai Corporation to post of Mr Natarajan, was quashed by Hon’ble Mr Justice V Partheeban . Mr Pugalenthi even though retired in the year 2016 , he was retained in service by Chennai Corporation for 5 years by giving 2 extension order for 2 years and one extension order on contract basis. The Learned single judge came down heavily against this transfer of Mr Natarajan to favour Pugelenthi and not only quashed the transfer order but even the order of extension under contract for one year.
Aggrieved over the order of Learned single judge, The state government and Mr Pugalenthi filed two separate Writ appeals.
The Writ Appeals were heard by Hon’ble Chief Justice and Hon’ble Mr Justice Senthil Ramamoothy and both the appeals were dismissed after concurring with the submissions of Mr P. Wilson who appeared for the Respondent/ Writ Petitioner. Learned AG appeared for state and Mr ARL Sundaresan appeared for Pugalenthi. Mr P. Wilson appeared for Respondent
