[20/07, 08:46] sekarreporter1: DMK, following the instructions of DMK President Hon’ble Thalaivar @mkstalin, during the meeting of the Parliamentary Business Advisory Committee (BAC) for the Lok Sabha held today in New Delhi, which manages the legislative timetable and allocates time for debates and discussions in Loksabha, strongly insisted allocation of time to discuss the Karnataka state’s intention to construct the Mekadatu dam and the request of TN for formation of a Tribunal in this regard, which is going to severely affect the interests of farmers and people in Tamil Nadu, and also opposed the inclusion of the FCRA Amendment Bill 2026 in this session. DMK registered its protest that stakeholders and religious institutions affected by the draconian FCRA Bill have not been consulted till today. The DMK strongly expressed its opposition to moving the FCRA Amendment Bill 2026 in this session before the Lok Sabha Business Advisory Committee.
