BREAKING Justice G.K. Ilanthiraiyan of #MadrasHighCourt dismisses an anticipatory bail petition filed by former DMK Minister V. Senthilbalaji in the latest corruption case registered against him by the DVAC. During the hearing, the judge said, the allegation was of having caused a loss of over ₹17 crore to the public exchequer and therefore, the case requires custodial interrogation of the accused. State Public Prosecutor R. John Sathyan said, ₹17 crore is just a tip of the iceberg and that the loss to the public exchequer could be a minimum of ₹100 crore which had to be unearthed during the course of investigation.
