The petitioners were trapped and arrested by the officials of Vigilance and Anti-corruption on 13.09.2008 and a criminal case was registered in Crime No. 8/AC/2008/SL under Section 120 (B) IPC r/w Section 7 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.
