The Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court has directed the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments (HR&CE) Department to file a counter affidavit to a public interest litigation petition that sought a direction to authorities to issue appropriate guidelines to regulate darshan and other services at Sri Subramaniya Swamy Temple in Tiruchendur in Thoothukudi district.
