Justice N Kirubakaran and Ms Justice V N Velumani had ordered surprise inspection

In HCP No.1299 of 2020 file by one Mr Shivababu to release minor girls who are being detained in a spinning mill in Tirupur on child labour the High Court of Madras bench consisting Hon’ble Mr Justice N Kirubakaran and Ms Justice V N Velumani had ordered surprise inspection by the Superintendent of police Disha Mittel Tirupur and the Commissioner Labour welfare department Tirupur on the date of the hearing i.e 06.08.2020.In terms of the urgency the inspection was done on the same day i.e 06.08.2020 of the hearing today Prabhavathi AddlSPP said 321 workers where secure out of which 133 of them where aged between 14 to 18 boys and girls school going children The detenue’s produced today through video conference by child welfare committee Trippur deposed before the bench that they are of their free will and accord due to penury and there is no force, though this was recorded the statement of the child welfare department was taken on record by the bench which notes that hygiene, sanitary issues relating to lodging accomodation where pathetic, the bench observed that period surprise visits to be done by the Superintendent of police Tirupur and the labour welfare department.
