Anbanantham, 34, has approached the #MadrasHighCourt seeking anticipatory bail in a case booked against him under the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act, 1986 and other laws for his Instagram post making derogatory remarks against Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay besides dragging the latter’s wife, son and a film actor too in the post. Justice C. Kumarappan on Friday adjourned the hearing on the advance bail plea to Monday (July 6, 2026). The petitioner has approached the High Court after the Krishnagiri Principal District and Sessions Court had on June 29, 2026 dismissed his anticipatory bail plea. @THChennai
