Justice M. Nirmal Kumar of #MadrasHighCourt orders transfer from the Juvenile Justice Board (JJB) in Chengalpattu to the JJB in Chennai the trial in a case related to a 13-year-old girl having been subjected to aggravated sexual assault by a gang of 15 persons, including six juveniles, in 2024. The victim’s father had sought for the transfer since the family had shifted to Chennai since then and also on the ground that the JJB in Chengalpattu lacks child friendly infrastructure required for the deposition of the victim.
