The contempt matter pertaining to removal of encroachment of lands belonging to Thiruporur Arulmighu Kandasaamy Temple and Alavandar Charities trust, came up for hearing today. B. Jagannath, Appeared as Party in Person and Learned Special Government pleaded appeared for the Hr and Ce Department. It was submitted by the learned SGP that more than 125 Acres and 233 encroachers have been Identified- against whom mostly proceedings under section 78 has been completed and the process of removal of encroachment shall commence within this month. He further assured the Honourable Court that matter may be adjourned finally to 3 weeks to file status report to show the progress, in this aspect. Recording the same, a direction has been given to the Respondents to complete & proceed with the process to remove all the encroachments within 3 weeks in accordance with law and file a status report & finally adjourned the matter to 3 weeks.
