The Bail application file by the husband of TV serial actress Chitra came up for hearing before his Lordship Mr Justice V. Bharathidasan. The father of the actress is an intervenor. Ms. M Prabhavathi Addl. Public Prosecutor appearing for the State represented that the initial report as per the prosecution suggest that this is a case of suicide as evidenced by the post mortem report which indicates two injuries in the chin and neck, further the statement of the witness viz the mother of the actress suggest that Chitra could have taken the drastic measure due to character assassination. But considering the doubt raised on the death of the actress the COP has transferred the case to CCB conventional crime team and therefore the state requires 2 weeks time to file a detailed report and the bail plea was sternly objected by the PP citing the above reasons. The Judge accepted the version of the state and posted the matter to 2nd February.
