ANTICIPATORY BAIL PETITION

The address for service on the respondent is the same as stated above.
1. The petitioner submits that the respondent police registered the above case in Crime No.205 of 2026 on 30.06.2026 for the alleged offences under Sections 8 and 12 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 and Sections 61(2)(a) and 351(3) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, on the basis of a complaint said to have been given by Dr. N. Elaiyaraja, MLA, Uthangarai Constituency.
2. The prosecution version, as gathered from the FIR, is that on 26.06.2026 at about 10.20 p.m., the de facto complainant allegedly received a phone/ WhatsApp call from a person claiming to be Thirunavukkarasar /representing IPDS YouTube channel, and during the said alleged call he w allegedly offered Rs.35 Crores and was also allegedly threatened in conne with a political confidence motion / Assembly related event.
3. The petitioner submits that the FIR itself is the best answer to proposed arrest. The petitioner is not shown as an accused in the FIR. The petitioner is sought to be dragged into the matter only by a later political extension of the FIR story, and not by any fact found in the FIR itself.
