A separate complaint has been given against Sri Mutha CBSE School,
Chetpet, by the parents of some of the students to the effect that the school
has violated the orders passed by this Court and it has collected or attempting
to collect excess fees.
2. This Court is not happy with the attitude shown by the authorities
in implementing the orders passed by this Court on 17.07.2020. Till today, this
Court has not received any report from the respective District Educational
Officers, Chief Educational Officers and also from the Regional Educational
Officers, Central Board of Secondary Education, as to what steps were taken
to enquire on the complaints made by the aggrieved parties with regard to the
excess fees charged by the Educational Institution in violation of the orders
passed by this Court. At the time of passing of the order, this Court expected
that the educational authorities will implement in letter and spirit through out
the State of Tamil Nadu. Even though several complaints have been brought to
the notice of this Court, not a single report has been filed till today. This

and they cannot not be left in lurch. Unless the authorities co-operates and
act upon the compliants, the orders passed by this Court will continue to
remain in paper without being actually implemented.
3. In view of the above, this Court has no other option except to
direct the Principal Secretary to the Government, School Education
Department, Chennai, to be present during the next date of hearing through
video conferencing.
4. The Principal Secretary to Government, School Education
Department, Chennai, shall collect the particulars from the authorities by
then and report before this Court regarding the steps taken by the
Government to implement the order passed by this Court on 17.07.2020.
5. Post this case on 07.09.2020 @ 2.15 p.m under the caption for
filing report .
