This Court has also earlier granted ordinary leave for a period of 30 days from 07.08.2022 to 05.09.2022 to the convict prisoner. Therefore, having regard to the reason given by the petitioner, this Court finds that the prayer of the petitioner to grant 28 days ordinary leave to her husband/life convict is justified. Accordingly, the petitioner’s husband, namely, Senthil Kumar, S/o Selvaraj (Convict No.14681), Convict Prisoner, who is confined in Central Prison, Cuddalore, is granted 28 days ordinary leave without escort. The leave shall commence from 22.11.2023 10.30 a.m., and the convict prisoner shall surrender before the third respondent by 5.30 p.m., on 19.12.2023. During the period of leave, the convict prisoner shall also report before Moodhunagar Police Station, Cuddalore District once in a week at 10.30 a.m., and he shall not indulge in any other illegal or unwarranted activities. The writ petition is ordered accordingly. Index : yes/no (S.S.S.R.,J.) (S.M.,J.) Neutral citation : yes/no 17.11.2023 ss To 1.
