Note:

The Hon’ble the Chief Justice was pleased to issue and approve the following instructions with effect from 01.06.2026 and the same shall be in force until further orders.
1) All category of Cases shall be listed chronologically as per the date of filing/registration, unless otherwise directed.
2) Cases relating to Senior Citizens, Crime against Women and Children, Persons with Disability shall be taken up on priority basis.
3) Admission and final hearing cases in the respective category/roster shall be listed for hearing on all working days. On each and every Wednesday, exclusively the oldest cases for final hearing of respective category/roster shall be listed.
4) Upon change of Roster, all the cases including Bail and Anticipatory Bail, (except the cases reserved for orders/judgments) shall automatically stand released and be listed/posted before the concerned Single Bench/Division Bench having the roster.
5) Upon change of Roster, the cases ordered to be listed on a specific date under the caption “For Reporting Compliance”, “For Compliance”, “For Further Hearing”, “For Filing Report”, “For Recording Appearance”, “For Recording Settlement”, and etc., such cases also shall automatically stand released and be listed/posted before the concerned Single Bench/Division Bench having the roster.
6) Applications/Petitions for Review/Clarification/Modification/Recall and/or any other applications/petitions relating to the Orders passed by the Single Bench/Division Bench shall be listed/posted before the concerned Single Bench/Division Bench, whose order is sought to be reviewed.

6A) If the Single Judge concerned is not available on account of transfer, elevation, retirement or for any other reasons, such applications/petitions shall be listed/posted before the Single Judge, having the roster.

6B) If the Senior Judge of the Division Bench concerned is not available on account of transfer, elevation, retirement or for any other reasons, such applications/petitions shall be listed/posted before the Division Bench consisting of Hon’ble Mr.Justice S.M.Subramaniam and the Junior Judge of the former Division Bench.

6C) If both the Judges of the Division Bench concerned is not available on account of transfer, elevation, retirement or for any other reasons, such applications/petitions shall be listed/posted before the Division Bench of
Hon’ble the Chief Justice.

7) Civil Contempt Petitions/Applications shall be listed/posted before the concerned Single Bench/Division Bench, whose order/judgment/direction was violated/disobeyed by the alleged act of contempt.

7A) If the Single Judge concerned is not available on account of transfer, elevation, retirement or for any other reasons, such applications/petitions shall be listed/posted before the Single Judge, having the roster.

7B) If the Senior Judge of the Division Bench concerned is not available on account of transfer, elevation, retirement or for any other reasons, such applications/petitions shall be listed/posted before the Division Bench consisting of Hon’ble Dr.Justice Anita Sumanth and the Junior Judge of the former Division Bench.

7C) If both the Judges of the Division Bench concerned is not available on account of transfer, elevation, retirement or for any other reasons, such applications/petitions shall be listed/posted before the Division Bench of
Hon’ble the Chief Justice.

8) Whenever the Single Bench/Division Bench, while hearing a case, forms an opinion that the other case(s) pending before some other Single Bench/Division Bench are necessarily to be tagged and heard together, shall direct the Registry to place such mattes/records before the Hon’ble The Chief Justice for appropriate orders.

9) Any other subject which is not covered or omitted hereinabove, will be placed before the Hon’ble the Chief Justice for appropriate orders.
