  A suit has been filed against the release of Parasakthi movie on 10th January 2026 on the ground that the story is the story of the plaintiff, namely K. V. Rajendran alias Varun Ranendran and he sought for injunction in Application 1222 of 2025. In another application 6458/2025 he sought for the report of The South Indian Film Writers Association on the story. Mr. R. Singgaravelan, Se nior Advocate appeared for the Director, first defendant Sudha Kongara and Aravind Pandian, Senior Advocate appeared for R4 Dawn Pictures Private Limited. Nr. Purushothaman appeared for the Plaintiff K. V. Rajendran. Justice S. M. Subramanyam after hearing all the parties directed the defendants to file counter without granting injunction. However, at our request he directed the South Indian Film Writers Association to submit a report after hearing all the paries before the Court on 02.01.2026 and adjourned the matter to 02.01.2026 for counter. On today it appeared as item no 13 before SMS single Bench and reached by 3p.m.

  Justices MM Sundaresh and Sathish Kumar. During the hearing, the special wing of Crime Control submitted a response. Following this, the bench observing the importance of elephants in the ecosystem, said that the events of poaching have routes to several other states. Hence, the Bench said that the cases relating to the death of elephants should be given to CBI for investigation. The Court also adjourned the case for hearing to three months.
