More than 12 lakhs investors have invested their money in Disc Assets Lead India Limited and its sister concerns. The amount having not been given to the depositors some of them filed WP No 8084 of 2017 and the then Division Bench presided by the Hon’ble Chief Justice passed an interim order on 11.10.2017 constituting an Administrator Committee headed by Justice N. Paul Vasantha Kumar former Chief Justice of Jammu and Kashmir High Court. The Committee was directed to open an account in Indian Bank Madras High Court Branch and sell the properties of the company and its sister concerns and deposit the amount and distribute the investors either in full or pro rata basis.
The committee on various dates sold certain properties and deposited the sale proceeds in the joint account and with accrued interest the total sum of Rs 274,11,13,442.70.
