An application challenging the ongoing establishment of a Solar Photovoltaic (PV) manufacturing facility along with an in-house glass manufacturing unit by Indo Sol, spread across an extent of 8,364 acres of land, has been admitted by the Hon’ble NGT, Southern Zone, Chennai.

The applicant has alleged that the project proponents have proceeded with the establishment and related activities without obtaining mandatory Environmental Clearance and other statutory approvals, as required under applicable environmental laws and regulations.

After hearing the submissions of the applicant, the Hon’ble NGT was pleased to admit the matter and has issued notice to the respondents.
