DGP, TN has filed a status report before Supreme Court pursuant to its direction to TN Govt to file a report on the action taken on the complaint lodged by BJP advocate G. S. Mani seeking criminal and legal action against those spreading defamatory content against Justice G. R. Swaminathan. Following the order granting permission to light the sacred lamp at Thirupparankundram Hill, illegal protests were conducted in front of the Madras and Madurai High Courts against Justice G. R. Swaminathan.
