Madam,

During the tenure of the last committee, an Enrolment Committee have been formed comprising the following Members (1) Shri.K.Balu (2) Mrs. Priscilla Pandian (3) Shri.D.Saravanan.

During the pendency of the Election process, the Bar Council of India has made a limited interim arrangement for the purpose of conducting the essential administrative, financial and statutory functions of the Bar Council of Tamilnadu and Puducherry. This limited interim arrangement is headed by the Advocate General of Tamilnadu.

However, without consulting the Advocate General of Tamilnadu, it appears that the Enrolment Committee has proceeded to commence an Enrolment and a notice was uploaded on the website of the Bar Council of Tamilnadu and Puducherry for certain candidates to appear before the Enrolment Committee on 27.7.2026 and 28.7.2026.

It is not known as to who directed to issue the notice to be uploaded on the website for the Bar Council of Tamilnadu and Puducherry. I am informed that this was done without the knowledge of the Secretary, Bar Council of Tamilnadu and Puducherry.

In view of the above, the Enrolment Committee is reconstituted with the following members.

1.Shri.K.Balu

2.Shri.R.C.Paul Kanagaraj

3.Shri.Girirajan

This Enrolment Committee will discharge the function till further orders. This committee shall discharge the function of the Enrolment Committee from today.
