Justice K Kannan: The remarkable details furnished vouch for parties’ presence and consent in digital mode. I am never against such an exercise. Indeed, I am part of a committee appointed by SC to recommend reforms through AI. The point underscored is, don’t dispense with parties’ presence and take counsel’s affirmation as sufficient. Let it be during Covid19 times and not as a law enunciated by HC for all situations.
