Order
This Court by the order dated 06.02.2026 had confirmed the Judgment of
conviction rendered by the Courts below and modified the sentence directing
the petitioners to jointly to pay a fine of Rs.2.52 Crores, minus a sum of
Rs.25,00,000/-, which was already deposited by the petitioners and withdrawn
by the respondent within four weeks. The petitioners have today sought for
extension of time, for a period of 8 weeks, to make the payment citing health
reasons of the second petitioner.
2.The learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that the four
weeks time granted by this Court expires on 13.03.2026 as the order copy was
made ready on 13.02.2026.

3.The respondent appearing in party-in-person however, submitted that
the petitioners are due to pay the said money from the year 2014 and that they
have already waited for I I years and granting further time would cause hardship to them.
4.This Court after considering the petition, the counter and the rival submissions, is of the view that the interest of justice would be met if the following directions are issued;
(l)the petitioners shall deposit Rs.l Crore towards fine on or before 20.03.2026 and;
(2)shall deposit the balance amount ofRs. 1.27 Crores on or before 20.04.2026. If the petitioners fails to comply with any of the directions, it is needless to say that the second petitioner has to undergo the default sentence as ordered by this
Court in the above Revision.
