Sathyanarayana and Justice R.Hemalatha to direct the respondents to increase the intake of the students in psychiatric stream by noting the crucial gap between mental health professionals and patients, to include mental health and wellness in school curriculum to build strong mental health among students and to create awareness to remove stigma associated with depression to consult with health professionals. Justice M S Ramesh observed that since the petitioner had cleared the first stage of physical test and was unable to attend the second stage as he claims to have sustained fracture injuries, a sympathetic view can be taken in this regard. Hence the judge directed the petitioner to submit his medical records to the secretary of TNUSRB and it was open to them to take a decision on permitting him to participate in the second stage of physical test.
