COMMON ORDER

Mr.R.Neelakandan, learned Additional Advocate General appearing on behalf of the 3rd respondent would submit that the relief sought for in the Writ Petitions is applicable to 132 Linguistic Minority candidates, who have applied for selection to the post of Secondary Grade Teacher. The selection was notified to fill up 2758 vacancies for Secondary Grade Teacher. Therefore, the interim order granted by this Court to keep the entire process in abeyance is to be
modified.
2. Even as per the submissions made on behalf of the Writ Petitioners, the challenge to the amendment has been made, in respect of the candidates from Linguistic Minority category, wherein 132 candidates participated. That being so, instead of stalling the entire selection process, the interim order may
be restricted in respect of 132 Linguistic Minority candidates alone.

“5. The respondents are directed to keep all further proceedings in abeyance till these Writ Petitions are decided by this Court”
4. However, the above said order is hereby modified as “The
respondents/Teachers Recruitment Board is permitted to proceed with the selection process and conclude the same and fill up the notified vacancies, however, by keeping 132 post of Secondary Grade Teacher vacant till the
disposal of these batch of Writ Petitions.”
5. With the above modification, the Writ Miscellaneous Petitions are
disposed of.
6. Post the main Writ Petitions after two weeks.
