[3/12, 15:42] Sekarreporter1: SP who waylaid victim is only an arrow, the special DGP was the bow. Arrow has been suspended but not the bow. What is the hesitation in suspending him? Is he so powerful that you cannot suspend him? asks judge.
[3/12, 15:43] Sekarreporter1: Judge appreciates media for not disclosing names of accused, victim and witnesses after its restraint order. Says matter is only at the stage of inquiry. Only after inquiry the truth will come out.
[3/12, 15:43] Sekarreporter1: This court will ensure that the probe is closely monitored and also administration of a proper police force where everybody could perform their duties with confidence, says judge. Directs State Public Prosecutor A. Natarajan to file a status report by March 16.
[3/12, 15:43] Sekarreporter1: Advocate Abdul Saleem, representing special DGP, complains to HC that one of the members of the Internal Complaints Committee, had commented in a WhatsApp group that he should be hanged without trial. Another officer whom he wanted to be a witness was a part of the ICC.

Therefore, it becomes our responsibility to ensure that a free and fair inquiry is conducted, judge adds. Over 10 woman IPS officers had met DGP (L&O) and sought his suspension, yet he has not been suspended?
[3/12, 15:44] Sekarreporter1: Judge rejects a request made by a lawyer to permit use of the name of the accused in media. Says there shouldn’t be media trial since issue does not involve just two individuals but entire police force. Says court and State must maintain neutrality at this stage.
