The existing policy is expiring on 30.07.2020. The policy is going to be renewed by the National Insurance Company for the next One year and the benefits of the Group Insurance Policy are as follows:-

The Bar Council of Tamilnadu and Puducherry is implementing the Personal Accident Insurance Scheme to the advocates for the past 18 years (9 terms) and most of the advocates benefited from this scheme. The existing policy is expiring on 30.07.2020. The policy is going to be renewed by the National Insurance Company for the next One year and the benefits of the Group Insurance Policy are as follows:-- Accidental Death only 10,00,000/-
- Loss of sight of two eyes or loss of one hand and one foot or loss of sight of one eye and loss of use of one hand or foot. 10,00,000/-
- Loss of sight of one eye or loss of use of one hand or one foot 5,00,000/-
- Permanent Total Disablement from injuries other than named as above 10,00,000/-
In the said scheme, maximum hospitalization expenses has been fixed as Rs. 1,25,000/- and the loss of income will be given at the rate of Rs.5,000/- per week subject to maximum of 36 weeks. One year premium amount is Rs. 550/- including GST.
Hence, the advocates are requested to join in this scheme through the Bar Council online portal viz., https://bctnpy.com/groupinsurance or send the Application with original proof of payment by post / speed post / courier to “The Secretary, Bar Council of Tamilnadu and Puducherry, High Court Campus, Chennai 600 104” on or before 31.07.2020.
