The Madras HC comprising of Chief Justice and Mr Justice Senthil Kumar Ramamoothy ordered notice returnable by last week of April 2021 in contempt petition filed by the DMK party for non implementation of the order first Bench dated 27.7.2020 directing to implement reservations in All India Quota in Medical and Dental state surrendered seats.
Mr. P. Wilson appearing for DMK submitted that the issue relating to granting of reservations in All India Quota State Surrendered seats is settled by the Hon’ble first bench on 27.7.2020 and this court directed to form committee with DG of Health and Fly Welfare, Health Secretary MCI and DCI secretaries and to take. Decision on basis of reservations prevailing in the state. The TN govt filed appeal before SC and SC also reiterated while rejecting the Petition of TN Govt. Despite directions, the committee so formed without DG Health and Family welfare and Without State Health Secretary hasn’t taken implemented its decision of reservations for this academic year 2021-2022 which is apparent from the MDS 2021 Prospects.

He submitted that the orders of this Hon’ble court is flouted and hence there is clear case of contempt. The admissions for PG for 2021-2022 prospectus issued without the reservations for state contributed seats as directed by this Hon’ble court is not implemented and MBBS seats prospectus for admission 2021 May be released and if there is no reservations implemented for 2021-2022 students life will be doomed.
