The Hon’ble Bench comprising of Hon’ble Mr Justice MM Sundaresh and Hon’ble Mrs Justice R Hemalatha recorded the undertaking of the Central Government given today by way of memo that they are committed to bring all Stranded Indian abroad and will provide as many number of flights for purpose of evacuating the last Indian from abroad and directed the Central Government to abide by their undertaking.

Today in the PIL filed by DMK to bring back persons from Tamil Nadu stranded abroad due to the pandemic, the Central Government undertook to operate further 127 flights to Tamil Nadu from across the world to bring back stranded Indians.

The Vande Bharat Mission flight details is posted for convenience of Stranded Indians.

Already due to the various orders in this case the following number of flights were operated to Tamil Nadu:

From 06.06.2020 to 10.07.2020- 63 Flights
From 01.07.2020 to 20.07.2020 – 38 flights
From 20.07.2020 to 05.08.2020 – 58 flights
From 05.08.2020 to 31.08.2020 – 127 flights

After filing the WP. No.8224 of 2020, 286 flights have been scheduled to and landed in Tamil Nadu.

The Hon’ble Bench comprising of Hon’ble Mr Justice MM Sundaresh and Hon’ble Mrs Justice R Hemalatha recorded the undertaking of the Central Government given today by way of memo that they are committed to bring all Stranded Indian abroad and will provide as many number of flights for purpose of evacuating the last Indian from abroad and directed the Central Government to abide by their undertaking.

Mr P Wilson invited the attention of the court to the documents filed by central government on 4.7.2020 and submitted that central government should utilise the *Indian community welfare fund* for deserving stranded Indians for food, shelter, Medicine and travelling.
The Division Bench recording the said undertaking of central government has directed to make individual application by stranded Indian who claim the said fund to the Indian embassy for release of Indian community welfare fund and on such application being made the embassy will consider.

Further a liberty was given to the DMK to approach the Court incase the central government was not complying with the directions/ undertaking.
