Chellaian Residing at No. 162, Ranga Nagar I street Chrompet, Chennai- 600044 challenging e-tender notification in SPECIFICATION NO: COAL – 74 DT.18.01.2021 issued by the TANGEDCO for supply of 20.00 lakh tonnes of imported coal worth 1330 crores of any origin having GCV 6000 kcal/kg (ADB) at Kamarajar Port, Ennore as being a arbitrarily, illegally Fixed Tender and being unconstitutional. The Matter was directed to be listed on 04.03.2021 but not listed, Hence a mention was made by Senior Advocate Mr.K.M.Vijayan today (09.03.2021) before Hon’ble Chief Justice and after hearing The Hon’ble First bench was pleased to direct the registry to list the matter on 11.03.2021 (Thursday).
Secondly in the above issue pending election notification the above tender is going to be floated and as we all know the “code of conduct” as fixed by Election commission is in operation and new bids cannot be finalized, a complaint to this effect was made to election commission on 3.3.2021. hence it is just and necessary to implead both Election commission of India and Tamilnadu State Election Commission. The petition is also numbered and to be taken along with PIL.
