Item 23 before Lordship Pushpa Satyanarayana J today (16-12-2020) seeking Direction for Ex Gratia payment of loss of life due to Disaster payable under Sec.19 and Sec.12(iii) of the Disaster Management Act, 2005 and the Statutory Guidelines framed thereunder…. Significant, because it is being heard after Union of India made submission in SC on 09-07-2020 in Writ Petition (Civil) 546 of 2020 that existing Guidelines published u/s 12 will apply for COVID-19 and the SC in the Judgment delivered on 18-08-2020 held that the published Guidelines will be applicable for COVID-19 deaths.
