Ram Sankar, Advocate, Supreme Court and the Secretary of Delhi Tamil Advocates Association, has been invited to attend the 43rd United Nations Human Rights Council meeting scheduled to be held from 24.02.2020 to 20.03.2020. Advocate Ram Sankar is going to participate and speak on Sri Lankan Tamils issue which will be discussed on 9th March, 2020. In this regard, the United Nations Human Rights Commission, Geneva, Switzerland, has extended a special invitation along with the UN entry pass to Advocate Mr. Ram Sankar to participate in the event on behalf of Delhi Tamil Advocates Association.

ACCOLADES
2012: Delivered a presentation on “International Independent Investigation on Sri
Lanka for committing war crimes against innocent Tamils” at House of
Commons, British Parliament, London, United Kingdom on the invitation of
UK All Party Parliamentary Committee, British Parliament, London.
2013: Participated in the International Conference of Tamils Freedom Charter at
Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA, where the former Attorney General of United
States of America also participated.
2014: Filed a case against the Indian Government officers for conducting an
inquiry without taking proper approval from the Indian Parliament for
sending the troops to Sri Lanka during the war.
2015: Delivered a lecture on “Indian Constitution and Tamil Cultures” among 50
visiting students from various countries, organized by Singapore
Management University.
2016: Organized an International conference on Environmental Law with the
participation of Supreme Court Judges and awarded as the best presenter
by the first Tamil Prime Minister of Guyana, South America Mr. Moses
Nagamootoo.
2017: Filed a case before the National Green Tribunal to ban garbage in the bank
of river Ganga and got appreciation from the Judges.
2018: Delivered a speech in the International Tamil Conference on “Publishing
Judgments of the Supreme Court in Tamil Language” at Jaffna, Sri Lanka
organized by International Movement for Tamil Culture.
2019: Presented a paper in the 3
rd International Conference on Thirukkural at
UNESCO auditorium, New Delhi organized by International Thirukkural
Foundation.
