[4/16, 12:52] Prasana Mhc Advt: The exhibitor/theatre owner association have given press statements and passed resolution that any movie, which is released in OTT platform would not be exhibited in theatres and association members would boycott the release of movie.. there was also demand for undertaking to be given by the producer that they won’t release the movie within 30 days from the release of the movie in theatre. An information has been filed before the Competition Commission of India, Southern Bench at Chennai stating that the above acts of the theatre owners association is in violation of section 3 of the Competition Act, 2002. The information is numbered and is pending consideration before the Commission. It will be listed for preliminary hearing in due course
