[6/14, 08:30] Chanduru Adv: The Tamil Nadu Govt. decision to refer the labour dispute of Renault Nissan issue to voluntary Arbitration is welcome. The appointment of Mr. P.Jyothimani J, will be useful for both sides for he is known for his legal acumen and compassion. He had dealt with cases in labour laws both as a lawyer and a Judge. His courteous behaviour and balanced approach would surely be helpful to all. This is a step forward in law. It is good to see that the State has shown pro-activeness to protect the industry and working class. Just for info, earlier Justice S. Manikumar and Justice M. Govindaraj had referred for arbitration of an Industrial Dispute in the Transport Employees demands case. It helps in quick resolution of the case.. Let’s hope that workers rights in these pandemic times are cared for with Constitutional sympathy. π [6/14, 08:31] Sekarreporter1: ππΌππΌπΉ

Justice T.V. Thamilselvi dismissed his bail petition after a law officer informed the court that the petitioner was an accused person in more than 40 cases and that a history-sheet had been opened against him. The judge was convinced that the petitioner could tamper with evidence if he was enlarged on bail, and took note of the fact that some of the co-accused persons were still absconding.
