Re: EXTENSION OF REMAND AND INTERIM ORDERS

(Order of the Court was made by the Hon’ble Chief Justice)
It is pointed out on behalf of the lawyers practising in the
district courts that the functioning of the courts everywhere has not
resumed to the extent that allows applications for bail or the like to
be taken up immediately.
2. Since all courts in the State, including the High Court, are
opening up in phases and appearance in physical form is not
unrestricted at the moment, it is necessary that the earlier order dated
May 17, 2021 should be continued for a further period of at least four
weeks.
3. However, orders pertaining to removal of encroachment and
the like may be given effect to and the directions issued under clauses

(ii) and (vii) of paragraph 2 of the order dated May 17, 2021 are not
extended.
4. To repeat, the order dated May 17, 2021 will continue to hold
the field till August 31, 2021 except in respect of matters governed by
clauses (ii) and (vii) of paragraph 2 thereof.
List the matter on August 31, 2021.
