[6/12, 13:14] Sekarreporter1: [6/12, 13:14] Sekarreporter1: Jaganathan Sir,
I know both, you and Singgaravelan sir for more than 2 decades. To my knowledge he is the one who has not accepted any. Party nor hosted any party for the conferment of senior designation on him.
When I questioned him for the news about the celeberation he told me that others who could not be able to get though senior in age and knowledge should not feel. That is Singgaravelan sir.
Before his entry into Bar council I approached him on several occasions for interview and he used to say that there are somany seniors and intelligent lawyers than him and I can get it from them.
Even after entry into the Bar council he made the Secretary or other member to give interview.
When we insisted too much then only with other Member and Secretary after informing the AG he used to give.
After his exit in July 2019,till he came out for the temple case in March 2021 he never used to come to the media.
Then when he was appointed as Amicus for compassionate appointment matters he gave an interview.
Then on seeing different views on DV Act he for the juniors who approached him for the case he has written on DV.
When 69 percent reservation has again become the hot subject he has come out boldly on that.
In none of the reports he used to call himself as designated senior advocate.
It is myself who used to put like that to attract the number of readers and he never even used to see how I publish and in what manner I published.
You would not have found him in any court oriented functions or any party.
You can see him in the court. Or his house or temples.
On hearing your comment he called me and asked as to why I put senior advocate and all with a request to me to say only .R.singgaravelan in future.
Respected Jaganathan Sir that is he R.Singgaravelan.A soft and shy out and bold and louder in the court.

[6/12, 19:44] Sekarreporter1: [6/12, 19:35] elamvaluthi: Yes absolutely 💯correct singaravelan designated senior lawyer doesn’t have name board claims himself so invariably in all subjects whenever the court asks his assistance without any hesitation in an unbiased manner he has given his opinion and submitted his report even in Paris office also no name board hanging on the wall to mention that he is a senior lawyer my sincere appeal is that let us appriciate our colleague for his talent and ability anbudan ilamvazhudhi129@gmail.com

[6/12, 20:40] Sekarreporter1: [6/12, 20:07] K. Chandru Former Judge Of Highcourt: Ilamvaluthi,
An amicus only helps the court.
He need not support the judgement outside the court.
Many a times the brief of the amicus may not be accepted by court but it may acknowledge the asssitence.
In this case why should he write a brief supporting the order. That looks odd.
We can also write a counter thesis.
A counsel having a name board or not is not a virtue.
Every senior counsel is not expected to run an office.!
[6/12, 20:17] Sekarreporter1: Sir
[6/12, 20:18] K. Chandru Former Judge Of Highcourt: ??

[6/12, 20:49] Sekarreporter1: [6/12, 20:42] Rajasekar Advt: Justice K. Chandru had conveniently forgotten he came even for mentioning when he was Senior Counsel.
[6/12, 20:48]
[6/12, 20:51] Sekarreporter1: [6/12, 20:51] Basker Das Highcourt Advt: I too agree that Mr.R.Singaravelan, designated senior Advocate doesn’t have name board claims himself so invariably in all subjects whenever the court asks his assistance without any hesitation in an unbiased manner he has given his opinion and submitted his report even in Paris office also no name board hanging on the wall to mention that he is a simple, able and talented man of legal Encyclopaedia. I pray and wish him for a success in all his endeavour.

[6/12, 21:16] Sekarreporter1: [6/12, 21:03] K. Chandru Former Judge Of Highcourt: There was no prohibition in senior counsel mentioning a matter.Besides there were sensitive matters which unless mentioned will not be taken up!
I don’t understand counsel post.
The issue is not who among the two a great senior.
I am not in the race &your alter ego can take all the credit.
Issue is on matter of constitutional impotance.
I don’t expect any practicing lawyers whether senior 9r junior ever criticising a judgement rendered by a judge who is currently holding office.
I won’t blame them for their survival instinct!
[6/12, 21:08] K. Chandru Former Judge Of Highcourt: (?)
[6/12, 21:17] Sekarreporter1: [6/12, 21:07] elamvaluthi: Even v l ehiraj don’t have name board in his hose only board available in bonny road is victory house and singaravelan not an amicus query he has appeared for 5 famous temples of our state yes not having name board may not be construed as virtue but it ha got its own values to prove his humbleness and simplicity I hope ilamvazhudhi129@gmail.com

[6/12, 21:18] Sekarreporter1: [6/12, 21:15] lashminarayanan Advt Mhc: As per the rules of the HC, a senior counsel is supposed to have 2 juniors. Isn’t that a contradiction in terms ?
[6/12, 21:16] lashminarayanan Advt Mhc: One high court has directed that senior counsel has to do 10 pro bono briefs. Should a senior counsel search for such cases.
[6/12, 21:31] Sekarreporter1: [6/12, 21:30] elamvaluthi: What lachu says 100 percent correct singaravelan not searching for anything let’s give quites to this issue we are all in the same field let’s respect we’re the intelligence ilamvazhudhi129@gmail.com
[6/12, 21:30] Sekarreporter1: .
[6/12, 22:14] Sekarreporter1: [6/12, 21:48] lashminarayanan Advt Mhc: I have always written about judgements whenever I felt it was contrary to settled law. This is due to the support and encouragement of Mr. justice K. Kannan. I have continued to do so as the deputy editor of MLJ. So please don’t say lawyers don’t criticise judgments of sitting judges.
[6/12, 22:14] Sekarreporter1: 🙏🏼

[6/12, 22:14] Sekarreporter1: [6/12, 21:52] Rangarajan Trichy: Been seeing the arguents between advocates and ex-Judge Mr. Chandru.

Mr. Chandru says, “I don’t expect any practicing lawyers whether senior 9r junior ever criticising a judgement rendered by a judge who is currently holding office”. Probably he is talking more about himself, on what he did in his “days” when in he held office.

May be, not having a name board may not be a virtue. The same way criticizing each and every thing after retiring from office is also not a virtue. All I can see is “J E A L O U S Y” and nothing else on the part of Mr. Chandru on Mr. Singaravelan.

IMHO, Mr. Singaravelan is down to earth. He took pains to contribute in PILs and did not chose the path to sit at home and criticise from the comfort of their living room. Mr. Chandru on the other hand, takes a stand that he will only respond to “advocates”. 🤣 No wonder, such cannot understand what “down to earth” means.

There are people who contribute and let their work speak. There are those, who do nothing and make noise like empty vessels. Mr. Singaravelan, in my limited experience is in the former category.
[6/12, 22:14] Sekarreporter1: 🙏🏼
[6/12, 22:17] Rangarajan Trichy: When cats close their eyes, it seems they will think the world is dark. Mr. Chandru is one such. Those who read journals know but those who watch TV to comment on judgements wont.
