- Previous story [3/9, 15:07] Sekarreporter1: [3/9, 15:05] Sekarreporter1: R.O.C.NO.23991-C/2020/C3 NOTIFICATION On the directions of Hon’ble the Chief Justice, it is notified that if the condition in general does not deteriorate, a limited number of matters to be heard physically may be fixed by the Hon’ble Benches for hearing in the afternoons, beginning Thursday, the 11th March, 2021. Lawyers’ Chambers will be opened between 1.00 p.m. and 6.00 p.m. on Friday (12th March, 2021) and upto 12.00 noon on Saturday (13th March, 2021), whereupon all Chambers will be sanitized by the Greater Chennai Corporation. Subject to the situation not deteriorating, from 20th March, 2021 odd number chambers will be opened on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and even number chambers will be opened on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. It is hoped that from 22nd March, 2021 (Monday), all Chambers may be opened once again and physical hearing along with virtual and hybrid hearings may be commenced as was done from 8th February, 2021. - In this context, in order to effectively implement the guidelines, the first respondent shall direct all the District Educational Authorities to constitute Monitoring Committees in each schools headed by the Head of the Institution, parents, teachers, senior students etc., as decided by the Government and such Monitoring Committees shall ensure that the guidelines are implemented scrupulously and any untoward incidents or any different behaviour of the staff members and the children, are brought to the notice of the Authorities, for initiation of remedial measures, the first respondent is directed to issue the guidelines in consonance with the Clauses 7.8 and 7.9 of the Guidelines for Elimination of Corporal Punishment in Schools (GECP).(7) The consolidated Circular/Instructions are directed to be issued, within a period of five weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
