Full order of patta case Therefore, including the fresh applications, as of now 6,62,330 patta applications are pending before the concerned authorities.  The Additional Director of Survey and Land Records assured before this Court that all efforts will be taken by the respondents Department to dispose of all the pending applications and he seeks three months time to clear all the above backlog applications. He also assured before this Court that disposal of OPT-ISD applications will be continuously reviewed and expedited in order to clear the maximum number of applications with the current man power and to that extent, further report will be filed on the next hearing date. No.22394 of 2021 -11.In view of the above discussion, there shall be a direction to the respondents to ensure that the cremation of the dead bodies be permitted in the burial ground situated at S.F.No.104/A,  Eripatti Village, Pollachi Taluk, irrespective of the caste or creed to which he or she may belong. The cremation or burial of the dead bodies should not be allowed in any other places than those places which are specifically notified as a burial and burning ground under the relevant Rules.
