Bail granted to Wadhawan brothers of DHFL

[10/12, 17:56] Sekarreporter 1: Order Pronounced. In the result, this Petition is allowed. The Petitioner is granted bail on his depositing Rs.5000000 (Rupees Fifty lakhs) into this Court and executing a bond for Rs.5000000(Rupees Fifty lakhs) with two sureties for a like sum amount each. One of the sureties shall be a blood relative of the Petitioner. On release on bail, the Petitioner shall report before the Deputy Superintendent of Police EOW Chennai daily at 10.00 A.M untill further orders. He shall co-operate with the pending Investigation. He shall not threaten witnessess or induce witness or cause hindrance to the pending Investigation. If there is any violation of conditions the Investigation Officer is within his powers to move this Court for cancellation of bail as per the reported ruling of the Honourable Supreme Court in P.K.Shaji Vs State of Kerala (2005) AIR SCW 5560. The Petitioner is warned of the consequences of violation of condition of bail. The Investigation Officer is directed to hand over A2 and A3 back to Superintendent Taloja Jail within 2 days on receipt of CORONA test report on Accused A2 and A3.

The Bail Applications of Wadhawan brothers of DHFL came up for hearing today (12.10.2020) before the Learned Special Court TNPID Chennai.

The arguments on behalf of the Applicants , prosecution and also the intervenor were advanced.

Considering the submissions made, the Learned Special Court has enlarged the Applicants on bail with the following conditions:
