Sub: Filing of Emergent Cases through e-mail mode by the
Advocate/Party-in-person in Subordinate Civil and Criminal
Courts in Chennai District – Instructions – Issued – Regarding.

Filing of Emergent Case s in the City Civil Court, Chennai :

  1. The existing procedure of filing of Bail Applications through e-filing
    ( https://efiling.ecourts.gov.in/tn/ ) will be continued until further orders.
  2. Filing Emergent Civil Cases/Applications:
    The Advocate/Party-in-Person are required to file soft copy of the case papers for the all
    classification of cases through the e-mail (citycivilsessionscourt@gmail.com) mode until further
    orders.
  3. The Examiners will scrutinize the case papers received through e-mail and if found defective,
    then the same will be intimated to the Advocate/Party-in-person through e-mail only.
  4. After curing the defects pointed out by the Registry, the Advocate/Party-in-Person shall re submit
    the corrected copy of the case papers again through the email.
  5. On receiving the corrected copy of the case-papers sent through e-mail, the same will be
    scrutinised by the Examiner again and if the same is in order, the Registry will send an e-mail /SMS
    to the concerned Advocate / Party-in-person to present the original case-papers.
  6. After receiving such e-mail message from the Registry to file the case-papers in original, then
    the Original case-papers along with the Court fee and copies to the other side may be deposited in
    the drop box kept near the Esplanade main gate (near Esplanade Police station).
