- Previous story [1/4, 10:24] Sekarreporter: Paul Hector Pandian (1945 – 2020) is an Indian politician of the Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam and Member of the Legislative Assembly of Tamil Nadu from Tirunelveli district. He served as the Speaker of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly from 1985 to 1989.[1][2] He served as Deputy Speaker and Speaker of Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly from 21 June 1980 to 5 February 1989. He was one of the only two candidates elected to the Tamil Nadu Legislature from the Janaki Ramachandran Faction of AIADMK in 1989, when he won the Cheranmahadevi seat. He was elected to the Lok Sabha from Tirunelveli Parliamentary constituency in 1999. He is the organising secretary of the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam which was led by former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa. P. H. - Madras High Court on Thursday cautioned that it will dismiss the missing person case against Jaggi Vasudev’s Isha Foundation if the petitioner, who moved the Court alleging disappearance of his brother, does not appear in court for hearing.

In the event of receiving any complaint regarding illegal mining operations, violation of the Act and the Rules, excess quarry etc., the Commissioner of Geology and Mines, the District Superintendent of Police and the District Collector, are bound to conduct a detailed investigation inquiry under the provisions of the Act and the Rules, and prosecute all persons apart from initiation of disciplinary actions against the officials, who all are responsible and accountable for illegal mining operations. The petitioner is at liberty to submit representations along with all necessary details to the officials. 18. With the above directions, the present writ petition stands disposed of.
